Kristin Fischer will join CNN as its Space and Defense Correspondent in July 2021. Over the course of this time, she covered the 2020 presidential campaign, two impeachment trial and two attempts to prevent the spread of coronavirus and two other administrations' initiatives. The former president Donald Trump traveled to Afghanistan in a trip that was highly restricted.
